I have that feeling inside again like I have all this inspiration and motivation, but I’m not sure where exactly to direct it. I have a list of things I’m working towards and wanting to accomplish, but at the time that I’m feeling like this its never a “good time” to be productive in those areas. Like now, for example, I’m at work. Work is fine, I love my job, I love the people I work with, but I would pretty much always rather be outside hiking or cycling or on the road on an amazing adventure! I want to design and work on embroideries and building inventory for the Etsy shop, get more comfortable on the mountain bike (which still needs a name), or take a road trip with Gravity! I love my job, but I look forward to the day when I can support myself as a freelancer, and work from pretty much wherever I want.
This blog post may not have much depth, but I’m to a point where I’m working on my post consistency while building up my content. I have lots of things in progress, but to be honest I kind of forgot about having something for the “now.” Oops! I do have a few things I can ramble about for a bit – I completely understand if you don’t stick around for all of it, but I’m happy you’ve made it this far!
I have a list of things I’m working on for the Easy shop. I believe I said in a previous post that I’m aiming to have 10 solid things in the store when I launch it, and will add something new each week for however long I want to! I understand that its probably not something that will be a huge hit from the beginning, but my goal is to make enough with the Etsy shop consistently in the next year or so to match (or exceed) my income at my job currently. This could also be with sponsorships through my social media work and other freelance opportunities.
I’m also trying to figure out how I can make the best use of my weekends for the rest of the year. Yes it is the easiest time to have a social life, but its also the only time I have a solid chunk of time to be outside exploring! I’m also building a list of places nearby to get to, and I have a week of vacation left this year I’m brainstorming where to adventure then!
Another thing – for over a year now I’ve been seeing a personal trainer twice a week. My friend Jason (@herophysiques) has been putting up with me twice a week, and helping me on my journey to be in overall better physical condition. I want my body to be able to hike as far as I want, cycle like its never cycled before, climb higher, hold inversions longer, and just do more of what I want! He’s a great human, and is so incredibly knowledgable! We’re making a change this week. I’m going from seeing him in person twice a week and doing other workouts/activities on my own, to doing online workouts on my own along with my other activities. No more meeting in person. To be honest some of this decision is financial, but I’m also to a point where, while it was nice having someone around to help hold me accountable, I need to kick myself in the butt and hold myself more responsible! He will still be helping me by creating workouts, checking in for support and some accountability, but it will all be on me. To get to the gym after work, to do something(s) active on the weekends and weeknights. To take breaks from creating for the Etsy shop and digital screens, and spend time outside in the real world. I’m going to miss the consistency of seeing him, but its not like he’s going anywhere!
So, while I haven’t decided which days yet, I will be at the Hampton Club Fitness a few days a week after work if anyone wants to join! I’d love some accountability buddies and people to share journeys with! I have a closed RWP Facebook group being built with people who have a similar mindset – love of outdoors and being active, willing and excited to share their journeys, and wanting to help grow a community. PLEASE let me know if you’d like to be added to the group!
In short – I’m wanting to be outside more, push myself more with working out and getting in shape, and I want to continue connecting with YOU! I hope you all had a great weekend, and I look forward to making new friends 🙂
