I Moved!

Hello, lovelies! Its been a bit, and for that I apologize, but to be honest this was one thing I didn’t want to force while in a transition, and just wanted to be present in my life. I now feel I have the time and mental space to reflect and share with you what my life has been the last couple weeks 🙂

The big news – I’m in my new apartment! I’m still a little overwhelmed with the increase in cost, but logically I know it’ll all work out, and I just have to be more aware of what I’m spending my money on. Yay for leveling up in adulthood!

In short – this apartment is perfect for me. Thank you, Alison, for passing this space on to me! I am forever grateful! I wasn’t unhappy where I was – it was a great space in TGS within walking distance of lots of great local businesses, but this is MY space, my home, my next big adventure! I’m almost 30, and this is the first time I’m in a place that’s just mine with just my things in it. Its such a surreal feeling! I feel like I am exactly where I’m supposed to be, doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing, and while I’m taking the time to enjoy this and really soak it all in I’m also starting to think about what the next big thing is. Obviously it has to do with RWP, but there are so many things I want to do! So this week is all about dreaming big, and making lists and realistic action items to make these big dreams a reality. 

I am moved in, still unpacking, and while my eating got a little off track last week, I’m still working out every morning! I’m still making the time to move my body for at least 30 minutes a day, and this new environment is a great refresh for my eating habits. This increase in outgoing money every month is forcing me to budget my eating differently, which means even more strict budgeting with grocery shopping, and even less eating/drinking out than I had been doing. While I enjoy the social aspect of going out, it is a great practice to get into! I’m also excited about getting more into meal prepping and planning out everything I’m going to eat for the week. 

ALSO! Its finally cooler outside! This means more hiking, bike riding, sitting on the balcony, and exploring time! Trips to the zoo for walks and learning about my new animal neighbors, hitting the trails I’ve been hesitant to visit with the heat and ticks, and morning bike rides around the park without having to haul the bike down three flights of stairs, taking it apart to fit in the car, putting back together, riding it, and reversing that whole process to get it back home. I literally carry it down a few stairs, and boom! My front yard is basically the trail in the park. This makes me one VERY happy Maggie. 

ALL GOOD THINGS! I took the whole week off last week to get moved and settled, and to decompress and get some downtime. I hadn’t taken time off work since Disney in March, and I was really starting to feel it. I think that’s the longest I’ve ever gone without getting out of STL! I’m back at work now, and I feel refreshed, energized, motivated, and ready to kick some butt here before getting home and kicking some RWP butt! 

Once I get the place all set up I’ll do a little photoshoot of some of my favorite parts of it, and share with you a part of my world. When I’m not on the trails, that is 😉
