It’s Monday! Again! Another Monday. This weekend was an interesting one. I entered the weekend feeling super pumped and ready to knock out all the stuff I talked about in my last post, and while I got through some of it (which I’m rolling out this week), I was also leveled by a migraine and a scratch on my eyeball. Fun! Right?
Its funny how life just keeps throwing things at me when I’m finally feeling like I’m gaining momentum, but I have to take a deep breath and understand that this is my body telling me I need rest, and I need to slow down. So I listened. I closed all the blinds, turned off the tv, and took some time with myself to rest and create some mental space.
So with nothing much to report today, I’ll leave you with a little recipe for milk tea that I threw together a few days ago, and has been one of my go-to drinks when I want something other than water lol
- Steep black tea (I’m using teabags since I have so many) for 5ish minutes, until a dark brown color
- Add milk of choice (I use coconut or almond milk) – usually 3/4 water to 1/4 milk, but its to taste
- Dash of vanilla extract
- Sweetener! I’ve been using honey or brown sugar – also to taste
And boom! Throw some ice in there and you’ve got a tasty summer drink 🙂 Its a simple drink you can do a lot with – different types of tea, different milks, different sweeteners – whatever you like!

Also, I don’t think I’m going to chop my hair off, but it is in dire need of a trim to get the dead ends off, and I think I’ll add some layers and maybe even some side bang things to it! My hesitation lies in going to a salon to get my hair cut.
